Sailing Biskaj

This page is our shared space to document life on the water - from everyday sailing and boat maintenance to long-term planning, lessons learned, and the adventures that shape our journey.

We met in 2024, and it was August who introduced Mikaela to the world of sailing. What started as his passion quickly became something we discovered together. Since then, sailing has grown into a shared interest and an important part of our lives - a place where our love for adventure meets the calm and stillness that only the sea can offer.

We are drawn to both sides of life at sea: the excitement of exploring new places and the quiet moments offshore, where time slows down and everything feels simple. Along the way, we enjoy learning more about seamanship, navigation, and boat maintenance, constantly improving both our skills and our boat.

Looking ahead, our goal is to set off on a longer sailing journey in 2027. Until then, this page will follow our path toward long-distance cruising - sharing preparation and planning, upgrades and improvements to the boat, as well as updates from shorter sails and our holiday sailing planned for 2026.

Through this page, we hope to share our experiences honestly and openly, creating a place where both seasoned sailors and those new to sailing can find inspiration, practical insights, and a glimpse into life on the water.
