New lee cloths!

With a colorful tablecloth and a few eyelets, we created something both practical and personal for the boat.
Last weekend we sewed our own lee cloths so we don’t end up on the cabin floor or have to move over to the bunk on the other side of the boat if the person on watch needs to tack. For those of you who don’t sail, a lee cloth works like a safety barrier that you fasten from the edge of the berth up toward the ceiling, keeping you from rolling out when the boat is rocking.
We looked at a few options online, but they felt both too expensive and a bit uninspiring. Much more fun to make them ourselves! So we headed to a second-hand shop and found an old tablecloth in brighter, more cheerful colors, then picked up some eyelets from the hardware store. Another big advantage of making them yourself is being able to design them exactly the way you want. We added sewn-in pockets for a phone, a book, a water bottle, or anything else that’s nice to have within reach while resting.
Our next project will be upgrading the mattress in the forepeak with a thicker one for when we’re in the harbor or at anchor. We’re going to sleep very well this summer!

Today we went out to Fiskebäck and checked our boat after the winterstorms we have had here in Sweden.
Luckily, everything looked perfect! We also had the chance to try out our new telescopic Ladder, turned out to be the perfect height and easy to carry.
Can’t wait for the spring and upcoming sailprojects!

Planning the 2027 voyage!
Published: 2026-01-03

This weekend we have spent a lot of time planning our route for the big 2027 voyage. We also made som nice animations so you can see our plans.
It's a fun job thinking and planning a big voyage like this. Looking at different anchoring spots on google earth and dreaming of sun, palm trees while its cold and snowing outside here in Gothenburg. We plan to be away for 1,5 years and our dream destination is to reach Australian east coast. As detailed as you try to be, one thing is certain, the route and plans will change along the way. You are dependent on whether, things will break and repairs will delay.
During the christmas holiday we have created this page as a fun project.
With some mistakes and a lot of help from Chat GPT we managed to create something that works. We hope that you will find some joy from this page, and we look forward to improve it and share our progress going forward!
